About us

Di Reed brought her knowledge and experience together to create her swim school, so your child could learn to swim in a fun and friendly environment and gain a life skill. The Swim school has been operating since September 2006, and is affiliated to the Amateur Swimming Association (ASA), also members of the Institute of Swimming (IoS) and a training centre for Swimming Teacher and Coaches. We hold lessons at Regent Park Community College, Regents Park, Shirley, Southampton (Link to Map- Directions).

Our Mission is to encourage our swimmers and parents to be water confident and safe in water.

Our Aim is to deliver a programme that meets the needs of your child, allowing them to learn at there speed and to reach their goals within aquatics.

Our Goal to deliver a programme that your child looks forward to swimming form week to week.

We have high standards because you deserve the best. All are teachers are Amateur Swimming Association (ASA) qualified and hold an Enhanced CRB. Our teachers are enthusiastic about swimming and passionate about teaching. There is always a full qualified lifeguard present at all times.

At Adult and Child Lessons, we welcome babies from three months old (once they have had there injections). If you join this session we need a parent or responsible guardian to accompany them in the water together we can help you grow in confidence as you splash and learn. We work at your baby’s pace, through songs and games to introducing safe practises and essential water confidence skills: returning to the side, holding on, floating on back, blowing bubbles and many more.

From Beginners to pre-competition age, your child is ready to go it alone in small groups and in the safety of our instructors. Continuing to build on their water confidence, developing the stroke technique and skills needed to succeed. Our swimming programme follows the ASA Badge Scheme. The scheme covers al four strokes as well as stroke technique and life saving skills.
